Our founder, Elana Tenenbaum Cline, grew up in Sandy Hook, attended school there, and is now raising her own children in Connecticut—with one just starting kindergarten. Running the NYC Marathon for Sandy Hook Promise feels deeply personal, connecting her roots to her role as a parent today.
We believe in the mission of Sandy Hook Promise—to protect children and prevent gun violence through education and action.
Running 26.2 miles is our way of turning belief into movement, using endurance and effort to shine a light on a cause that matters deeply.
This run is about honoring the Sandy Hook community, supporting the ongoing work of Sandy Hook Promise, and carrying forward hope for a safer future.
Every mile is run with purpose, gratitude, and a commitment to change.
